Example robot for MetaTrader 5
Account Protector
Opens no trades. It watches your whole account, including trades you place yourself, and closes everything when today's loss reaches 4% or the total loss reaches 8%. It also closes everything on Friday evening.

The rules, in plain words
Each rule is one or more blocks in the builder. Every number will be changeable before you check the robot.
- When
- Every 5 seconds, on whichever chart you attached it to.
- If
- Today's loss is 4% or more of the balance at the start of the day (midnight on your broker's clock), or the total loss is 8% or more of the balance when you first started it.
- Then
- It closes every open trade and deletes every pending order on the account, including trades you placed yourself and trades from other robots. It keeps closing new trades until the day ends (the daily limit) or while the total loss stays at 8% or more.
- Before the weekend
- On Friday at 21:00, your broker's server time, it closes every open trade and deletes every pending order.
- Tell me
- When a limit is reached it sends a push message to your phone, through MetaTrader's own notifications, and writes a line in the log.
Its limits
The numbers it acts on. You can change them in the builder.
Today's loss4%
Of the balance at the start of the day, midnight on your broker's clock.
Total loss8%
Of the balance when you first started it.
Before the weekendFriday 21:00
Everything is closed, on your broker's server time.
Its numbers are examples, not any prop firm's rules. Check your firm's published limits and set your own.
What it does not do
Every robot here does only what its blocks say. These are the things people often expect from a robot that this one does not do.
Account Protector
Not this
- It cannot stop another robot, or you, from opening a new trade. It can only close trades after they open.
- Price gaps, slippage or a lost connection can take a loss past the limit.
- It opens no trades of its own, so it has no stop loss, take profit or trade size.
Build it, test it, get it
When we open: open the robot in the builder, change what you like, and press Check. Then test it on past prices in your own MetaTrader 5, and get it for your accounts.
The step-by-step guide covers every click, from the builder to a running robot.
Three steps
From this page to your chart
Build. When we open, press Open it in the builder, change any number, then press Check. The builder says what is missing, in plain words. Building a robot
Test. Download the free test copy and run it in the Strategy Tester. For this robot choose EURUSD and M15. In the tester nothing else trades, so there is little for it to do. Test it with a trading robot on a demo account instead. Testing a robot
Get it. Enter the MetaTrader 5 account numbers it may run on. You will pay once for each robot, and we will email you when it is ready to download. The account lock
Questions about this robot
More answers on the questions page.
Does it close trades I opened myself?
Yes. It watches the whole account, so a limit closes every trade on it, whoever opened it. If you only want it to watch its own trades, it is not the right robot.
Can it stop me from breaking a daily loss rule?
It can close everything as soon as the loss reaches the number you set, and then keep closing. It cannot stop a new trade from being opened, and a price gap can take the loss past the line before it acts.
Which chart do I put it on?
Any one chart. It watches the account, not the chart. Put it on one chart only: two copies would both act on the same trades.
